Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences : ウィキペディア英語版 | Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences
The Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) is an international association established in 1963 to foster professional and scholarly activities in the field of criminal justice and criminology. ACJS promotes criminal justice and criminology education, policy analysis, and research for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. ==Purpose of ACJS== The purpose of ACJS is to promote a forum for disseminating ideas related to issues in education, policy, practice, and research within the field of criminal justice and criminology. Through the vital interchange of ideas amongst its members, knowledge is developed and shared about critical issues regarding crime, criminal and social justice, and educating practitioners and policymakers, as well as scholars, with relevant information necessary to their profession. This exchanges occurs at our annual conferences (both the ACJS meeting and our regional meetings). We have partnered with Alpha Phi Sigma (APS), the national honorary society for criminal justice, to promote excellence in scholarship and practice in criminal justice. Also, we are able to disseminate information to our members, as well as other scholars and practitioners, through our journals: ''Justice Quarterly'' and Journal for Criminal Justice Education. Note - the annual meetings, the partnership with Alpha Phi Sigma, and the journals are discussed in more detailed in future sections.
